Day three began with the International Mass in the Basilica of Saint Pius X, where thousands of pilgrims from across the world gathered to worship together.

Hearing the prayers and hymns in many different languages was a powerful reminder that, though we come from different places, we are united in the one faith.

In the afternoon, we set out on a special walking pilgrimage — “In the Footsteps of Saint Bernadette”.

We visited the Boly Mill where she was born, the The Cachot where her family lived in poverty, and the Parish Church of the Sacred Heart where she was baptised.

We stood outside the The Parish Priest’s House and the Original Wooden Gateway where she delivered Our Lady’s message from the Grotto.

It was a deeply moving journey — a reminder that holiness can grow in the most ordinary and humble of places, and that God often chooses the smallest and least expected among us to do His work.

Not even the rain could dampen our spirits. In the evening, united as a diocesan family, we had the great privilege of leading the beautiful Torchlight Marian Procession through the sanctuary. With candles glowing and voices lifted in prayer, the procession became a fitting close to a day filled with faith, reflection, and grace.
