Invitations are now being made to people to travel with the pilgrimage

  • as young helpers (18 - 25 years) who will form a special section of the pilgrimage.
  • the pilgrimage also needs adults to volunteer in a wide range of areas e.g. carers, nurses, doctors, cooks, wheelchair assistants, choir members, musicians, photographers, videographers. There’s room for a wide range of skills and volunteers
  • People who are sick and those needing assistance will form a central part of the pilgrimage
  • Everyone is also invited to consider going to Lourdes as a pilgrim.

The five-day pilgrimage includes specially prepared ceremonies in Lourdes each day, including Mass at the Grotto on one of the days. Pilgrims also visit the places associated with St. Bernadette; they may bathe in the waters at the baths near the Grotto at Lourdes; they will have time be alone at the Grotto and there will also be time to explore the local area and relax.

Young people will share their experience of previous pilgrimages as well as adults who have served as helpers and wish to share that experience with others as well.

Booking forms will be available on the night. (Fares will not be taken on the night.)

All welcome
