Plans are in place to welcome thousands of people from across Cork City and suburbs as well as further afield for the 100th anniversary of Cork’s First Eucharistic Procession
Participants will assemble at the Cathedral of St. Mary and St. Anne from 2.30pm and the Procession will leave the Cathedral at 3pm. The Blessed Sacrament will be borne by Bishop Fintan Gavin.
Hundreds of people will have active parts in the liturgies including the priests, deacons, servers, choirs, Ministers of the Word, stewards, canopy bearers, banner bearers.
Professional imaging and sound services will also be deployed to make access to this historic procession available online and to record it.
