Obituary
Fr. Frank Murphy was a native of Ringaskiddy and was one of seven brothers, five of whom were ordained priests, including Fr. Seamus. He was ordained in June 1949 and was a classmate of the late Bishop Michael Murphy.
His ordination was followed by a temporary assignment to Washington D.C., U.S.A., where he ministered until January 1954, when he returned to Cork and was appointed Chaplain in Schull.
His other appointments in the dioceses included:

He retired prematurely from parish work in 1992 due to failing health and went to live at St. Joseph?s Hospital, Mount Desert, where he ministered as Chaplain until 1993.
Fr. Frank died on July 13th, 1996.
