The Cork and Ross pilgrims are continuing their joyful and faith-filled Jubilee of Youth pilgrimage with another prayerful day.
The morning began with the Irish Catechesis, where the pilgrims were joined by the Sisters of Life with Sr Mary Grace SV speaking on how faith sets the stage for lasting hope. The Catechesis was then followed by the celebration of Mass.

In the afternoon, the pilgrims entered through the Holy Door at the Basilica of St John Lateran.
The evening brought over 600 young Irish pilgrims together for the Irish Gathering: a time of prayer, adoration and fellowship. Bishop Fintan led the prayer service and encouraged the young people to step outside their comfort zone and to take the risk as Christ did:
“Our Christian faith isn’t private - we need to share it, to witness to it. Being a person of faith in Ireland today means having the courage to stand out from the crowd and go against the dominant secular culture.”
The evening culminated in a vibrant concert by acclaimed Christian artist Sarah Kroger at the Pontifical Irish College - an uplifting end to a day full of blessings.
