Plans are being made in parishes to celebrate Holy Week and Easter ceremonies with an in-person congregation for the first time in three years. Holy Week begins this year on April 10th which is Palm Sunday.

The pandemic restrictions meant that churches were closed to congregations for Holy Week in both 2020 and 2021.

An online workshop is organised by the diocese to support choirs, musicians and cantors as they plan for this year’s Holy Week and Easter liturgies.

The webinar on Tues March 15th will be hosted by the diocese and presented by Giovanna Feeley from Ashbourne Co. Meath who is an experienced liturgical music leader and workshop facilitator.

Giovanna will discuss the key moments in Holy Week liturgies as well as revisiting key material for Holy Week, sharing new resources and ideas.

Invitations have been sent to parishes for parish choir directors, cantor(s) and musicians to attend.
