5th Sunday of Easter

Introduction (by the Presider)Trusting in Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, we bring our prayers before the Father.

  1. For the Church: that, built on Christ the cornerstone, she may serve all people with faith and proclaim the Gospel with courage. Lord, hear us.
  2. For our permanent deacons: that, inspired by the example of the early Church, they may continue to faithfully serve God’s people. Lord, hear us.
  3. For all the baptised: that we may live in God’s light and joyfully proclaim his goodness in the world. Lord, hear us.
  4. For farmers and all who work the land: that they may have favourable weather, safety in their work, and a rich harvest. Lord, hear us.
  5. For those preparing for exams: that they may be blessed with calmness, clarity of mind, and confidence in their abilities. Lord, hear us.
  6. For peace: that Christ may guide leaders and nations away from conflict towards justice and lasting peace. Lord, hear us.

The Presider prays for the dead: For those who have died (especially N & N): that those who have died may be welcomed into the Father’s house. Lord, hear us.

Conclusion (by the Presider): Loving Father, you call us out of darkness into your wonderful light. Hear the prayers we bring before you through Christ, our Lord.
