27th Sunday of Ordinary Time
Introduction (by the Presider): Confident in God’s love for us, we bring before him the needs of the Church and our world.
- For the Church: that entrusted with the care of Christ’s vineyard, we may bear the fruits of faith, justice and compassion. Lord, hear us.
- For our Diocese of Cork and Ross: that our parishes and Families of Parishes will continue to grow as communities of belonging, love and mission. Lord, hear us.
- For all who are worried: that they may find peace in God and hope in times of uncertainty. Lord, hear us.
- For all whose livelihoods depend upon the land or the sea: that their work may be valued, their livelihoods protected, and that we may all become better stewards of creation. Lord, hear us.
- For those who are sick, grieving or living alone: that they may know God’s healing, comfort and presence and practical support in our care. Lord, hear us.
- For peace in our world: that violence and division may give way to dialogue, reconciliation and a renewed respect for every human life. Lord, hear us.
The Presider prays for the dead: For those who have died (especially N&N): that they may be welcomed into the fullness of life with God and rest in his eternal peace. Lord, hear us.
Conclusion (by the Presider): God our Father, hear the prayers we bring before you. Strengthen us in faith and help us to live with generosity and love, through Christ our Lord.
