Easter Sunday

Introduction (by the Presider): On this Easter Sunday, rejoicing in Christ’s resurrection and the triumph of life over death, we entrust the Church and the whole world to God’s loving care.

  1. For the Church: that we may be a sign of unity and joy, reflecting the love of the risen Lord. Lord, hear us.
  2. For those who have received the Sacraments of Initiation this Easter: that they may find joy in belonging to Christ and His Church. Lord, hear us.
  3. For all the baptised: that, renewed in faith at Easter, they may trust that Christ is alive, and share this good news with others. Lord, hear us.
  4. For those affected by mental health challenges: that they may find hope, compassion, and support in difficult times. Lord, hear us.
  5. For the sick: that the risen Lord may bring them healing and hope. Lord, hear us.
  6. For peace: that all nations may work for peace, justice and reconciliation, and be renewed in unity. Lord, hear us

The Presider prays for the dead: For those who have died (especially N & N): that they may be raised to new life in Christ and share in the joy of his Resurrection. Lord, hear us.

Conclusion (by the Presider): God of life and love, you fill us with the joy of the Resurrection; hear the prayers we bring before you through Christ, our Lord.
