14th Sunday of Ordinary Time
Introduction (by the Presider): With confidence in God's love and mercy, let us bring our prayers before him.
- For the Church: that by its humility and service it may reveal Christ, the gentle King who brings peace to the world. Lord, hear us.
- For our parishes and Families of Parishes in the Diocese of Cork and Ross: that the Holy Spirit may help us to grow together in faith, hope and love. Lord, hear us.
- For those who lead nations: that they may reject violence and division, and work for justice, peace, and the good of all people. Lord, hear us.
- For all who are weary or burdened in any way: that they may find strength and comfort in Christ and in the care of those around them. Lord, hear us.
- For our families, especially children and young people: that they may grow in trust, simplicity of heart, and openness to God’s love. Lord, hear us.
- For those who care for the sick, the elderly, and the vulnerable: that God may strengthen them in their loving service. Lord, hear us.
The Presider prays for the dead: For those who have died (especially N&N): that they may enter the eternal peace of Christ’s kingdom. Lord, hear us.
Conclusion (by the Presider): God our Father, hear the prayers we offer in the name of your Son, who brings us peace and rest. Through Christ our Lord.
