On Saturday 26th February and Sunday 27th February, Bishop Fintan made his first pastoral visit to the parish of Kilmeen and Castleventry.  On Saturday evening he celebrated Mass in the Church of the Holy Trinity in Bealad where he received a warm greeting from parishioners many of whom he met after Mass.

On Sunday morning, Bishop Fintan celebrated Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Rossmore. He was welcomed to the Parish by Fr. John Collins PP and again received a warm welcome form parishioners.

Bishop Fintan preached at both Masses on the need for parishes to work more closely together as Families of Parishes sharing their gifts and resources.  Kilmeen Parish is part of a developing Family of Parishes including the parishes of Clonakilty, Rosscarbery, Ardfield, Barryroe and Timoleague.
