Clergy Meeting is part of Diocese-wide Programme

Bishop Fintan continues to meet many people and groups in the diocese to listen to their experience and to get to know people and the diocese better.

He continues to meet with a representative group drawn from parish assemblies and parish pastoral councils to understand the pastoral reality of parishes. He also continues to visit parishes most weekends. Currently, a group of young adults drawn from different youth faith groups are preparing for a unique gathering of young people. The aim is to listen to their experience of what it is to be a young person of faith today.

Bishop Fintan met on Tuesday, February 25th, with the priests who currently serve in diocesan appointments to listen to their experience and to begin to explore with them what changes may need to take place.

Almost 100 priests attended this gathering including Bishop John Buckley, Archbishop Patrick Coveney and a number of retired clergy who came in the evening for Mass and a social gathering.
