Clerical Appointments in the Diocese of Cork and Ross

Bishop John Buckley has announced the following clerical changes in the Diocese of Cork and Ross effective from the 1st of September 2017.

Very Reverend Tomas O’Murchu, PP, Clontead to retire.

Canon Richard Hurley PP,  South Parish to retire.

Canon Martin Keohane, PP, Bantry to be PP, Kilbrittain.

Fr Jerry Cremin, PP, Kilbrittain to be PP, Clontead

Fr Martin O’Driscoll, PP, Uibh Laoire to be PP, Bantry

Fr Eoin Whooley, Adm , South Parish to be PP, South Parish

Fr. John C. O’Donovan CC Dunmanway to be CC Bandon

Fr. Pat O’Donovan, Adm Kilmichael to be PP, Kilmichael.

Fr. Damien O’Mahony, Chaplain, Mercy University Hospital to be CC , The Cathedral, Blackpool and Sunday’s  Well Parishes.

Fr. Anthony O’Mahony CC Bandon to be PP. Uibh Laoire.

Fr. Ray Riordan, Chaplain South Infirmary / St. Finbarr’s Hospital to be CC Glanmire / Glounthaune.

Fr. Michael Anthony Buckley, CC Glanmire / Glounthaune to be CC Schull /Goleen /Muintir Bhaire

Fr. Marius O’Reilly, Chaplain UCC to be Chaplain, Mercy Hospital.

Fr. Evin O’Brien, newly ordained, to be CC, Dunmanway.

Very Reverend Patrick O’Sullivan, MSC, PP KIlmacabea recalled to Congregation.

Very Reverend Kevin Blade MSC to be PP, KIlmacabea.

Fr. Gerard Dunne, OP, to be Chaplain, University College Cork.

Fr. John Heinhold,  SPS, CC The Cathedral, Blackpool and Sunday’s Well Recalled to  Society of Saint Patrick. (Kiltegans)

In addition to the above, Bishop Buckley has also announced two appointments to the Cathedral Chapter.

Reverend Dr. Tom Deenihan and Very Reverend Martin O’Driscoll have been appointed Canons of the Cathedral Chapter
