A few months prior to his death he went to the residence of his sister, Mrs. P. O’Driscoll, in Courtmacsherry.

Obituary
The Right Rev. Monsignor O’Leary, P.P., V.F., presided at the Solemn Requiem Mass at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Courtmacsherry. The celebrant of the Mass was, Fr. John Russell, C.C., (cousin); deacon was, Fr. Patrick Hennessy, C.C., Clonakilty; sub-deacon was, Fr. Patrick Cahalane, C.C., Clonakilty, and the master of ceremonies was, Fr. Thomas Kearney, P.P., Kilmeen.
