Thomas Coursy, a native of Munster, was a zealous priest who resided at Kinsale . He was Vicar General of Cork and used to regularly visit the priests of his area to encourage them during Penal times. On one such excursion, he was detained by Sir John Perrott, then President of Munster, who ordered that he be hanged.
