Notes
Following his ordination he joined the Maynooth Mission to China (later Missionary Society of St Columban). He was on the first council of directors before taking charge of the US region in September 1918. In 1935 he moved to the Philippines where he started Student Catholic Action in Manila. During World War 11 (1939-1945) he was in Burma where he was interned. In 1947 he retured to America and for the next 10 years he resided at St. Columban’s, Los Angeles. He died as a result of a traffic accident.
