Notes
Appointed Canon of the Cathedral Chapter & Vicar Forane (V.F.) of the Kinsale Deanery in1887
Appointed Archdeacon in 1901.
He was an uncle of Patrick J. O’Sullivan (Sub-Deacon).
During his time in Kinsale he introduced the Presentation Brothers to the Parish.
As a result of his association with the Vincentian Congregation in Cork – having received his classical education at St. Vincent’s College, Cork, he established a course for the education of priests for the foreign missions at Mill Hill, London, and each year he made generous contributions to the above College.
The old links which bound him to his Alma Mater were never loosened. In furtherance of this desire, he made arrangements with the President if the Irish College in Rome for the free education each year of a certain number of priests for the Diocese of Cork.
