Parish Faith Development Groups

Parish Faith Development Groups

Many parishes have a faith development group as part of their assembly. Others have groups who are interested in growing in faith and understanding and engage in various activities such as Lectio Divina; organising Lenten talks, prayer groups, book and film clubs, events for parents; faith and justice groups and so on.

The faith development team is here to support any activities in parish, pastoral area or diocese which support adults growing in faith. We suggest that faith development groups meet one another in their pastoral areas to explore pooling resources and coming together for initiatives.
The first role of the faith development group is to grow in faith themselves. This involves planning time for prayer and other nourishment in faith. It is also good to plan some social time. There is a training course in adult faith development planned later in the year. If you would be interested in this course as a group or an individual, please let Anne know.
