World Day of Migrants and Refugees

On Sunday next, January 14th, we mark World Day of Migrants and Refugees – the theme for this year is:
“Welcoming, protecting, promoting and integrating migrants and refugees.”

The resource packs for liturgy, prayer and reflection have been distributed to parishes.  Pope Francis reminds us that our welcome and care for refugees and migrants who come to seek safety and build a new life among us is “a great responsibility for the Church, ” he continues in his message for this day to say “(they) are not pawns on the chessboard of humanity”.
