On Saturday evening last, the Vigil of the First Sunday of Lent, Bishop Fintan Gavin presided at the Rite of Election of Catechumens during the 5:00pm Mass at the Cathedral. This year there are seven Catechumens preparing in their respective parishes with our parish RCIA accompaniment groups to receive the Sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.
We remember in our prayers – Yvette, Rahul and Christopher of the Cathedral Parish; Remy from Ss Peter and Paul’s parish; Paulo and Ivana from Bandon parish and Katerina from Bantry parish.
