The Season of Advent begins on Sunday November 29th this year. It’s a time of preparing for and looking forward to Christmas.
It will all be different this year because of the pandemic. Individuals at home, families at home and parish communities will still keep the season as a special time of encounter with Christ.
Advent and Christmas are especially connected with three visible symbols: the Advent Wreath, the Christmas Tree and the Christmas Crib. Each connects us with the true heart of Christmas — the coming of the Son of God among us.
The Office of Mission and Ministry of the diocese has provided prayers for all of us to use with these symbols at home this year. (Click the link to view each one)
