General Data Protection Regulation – Diocesan Statement

Data Protection and Privacy

On Friday 25th May 2018 the European Union will begin enforcing new data protection legislation called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This new law applies to any organisation, including the Diocese of Cork and Ross, that manages and processes people’s personal information. We are now working on ways of ensuring that what we do with your information is compliant with this new law. A Data Protection Policy will be published shortly along with associated documentation. This is a work in progress and over the next few months we will keep you informed through the Diocesan Website as policies and guidelines for good practice are put in place.
